Experts recommend not using your phone to capture images of the phenomenon as the lens of your camera, phone, or eye can focus the sunlight and cause permanent damage.
Instead, you should use the same filters found in solar eclipse glasses to take pictures of the partial solar eclipse. You can cut your glasses in half and tape one eyepiece over your smartphone camera lens.
