JORDAN HEALTH NAMES DR. LINDA CLARK AS NEW PRESIDENT AND CEO

September 27, 2023, Rochester, N.Y. – On Wednesday, Jordan Health Board of Directors announced Dr. Linda Clark as its new President and Chief Executive Officer.  Jordan Health Board of Directors worked with UHC Solutions, a top recruiting firm for Federally Qualified Health Centers to conduct a nationwide search.

Dr. Clark was named as Jordan’s Chief Medical Officer last August. She oversaw the center’s physicians, providers, and overall medical operations at each site. Dr. Clark also helped to innovate new services and opportunities for patients and the overall community. Dr. Clark also previously served as Jordan Health’s medical director in 2009.

In addition to her work at Jordan, Dr. Clark is a practicing physician and long-time advocate for health equity and population health. She brings over 25 years of experience in occupational and preventive medicine. Most recently, as their Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Linda Clark provided strategic counsel to Common Ground’s initiatives from a medical perspective. Dr. Clark is a research assistant professor in SUNY Buffalo’s Department of Epidemiology and Environmental Health and Public Health and an adjunct assistant professor in Public Health Sciences at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry.

“It is with great pleasure I am able to announce Dr. Clark as my successor,” said Dr. Janice Harbin, retiring president and CEO of Jordan Health. “She comes with a great knowledge and love for our community. Her mission directly aligns with the mission of Jordan Health to reduce health disparities and ensure everyone has access to quality healthcare regardless of their ability to pay. Her passion and dedication will serve as a benefit for the overall community”

Dr. Clark has also served as a leader in organizing community efforts to combat the recent impact of the potential resurgence of COVID. During the height of the pandemic, she also helped along with others to organize Community Fighting COVID, a widely collaborative group put together to help combat COVID in primarily underserved communities of color through education, testing, and vaccination.

“Dr. Linda Clark participation in our nationwide search for a CEO, clearly illuminated that she is the best suited person to lead Jordan Health into the future,” said Dr. Clinton Bell, Chairman of Jordan Health’s Board of Directors. “Dr. Clark expressed her intent to ensure that Jordan remains true to its mission while achieving its strategic objectives and delivering value to all stakeholders. In a survey given to stakeholders, mission driven was identified as the number one desirable trait of the new CEO. Dr. Clark’s work history and performance at Jordan and her long history of uplifting work in our community is reflective of her mission driven leadership. Her leadership also reflects a combination of strategic thinking, and a deep commitment to our community and Jordan Health’s purpose. As board chair, I look forward to working with Dr. Clark to continue the mission of Jordan Health.”

Jordan Health continues to  provide a substantial volume of medical care in the community through strong management and financial stability.

“I’m honored to accept this new challenge to lead Jordan Health,” said Dr. Linda Clark, President and CEO of Jordan Health. “We have a great opportunity to continue the legacy and improve the overall health of our community by reducing gaps in access to quality healthcare and staying connected to our more vulnerable neighbors to limit health disparities.”

Dr. Clark also serves on the board of directors of St. Joseph’s Neighborhood Center.

Dr. Clark will assume her new role in November succeeding Dr. Janice Harbin, who announced her retirement last year after more than 10 years in the role and over 40 years of service in community health.
